Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki worked as a CNN political contributor from 2017 and 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 as a political contributor for CNN. She was involved in the elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was then appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki also served as communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 Psaki quit as spokesperson for the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. The speculations that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her appointment at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as Carney's replacement on May 30th, 2014. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
