Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. Her most famous part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring character in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has declared that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
